Dono and I hitchhiked 5 cars in one day, on the road from Lisbon to Lagos through the pastoral Portugeuse countryside. The birds flew around in graceful circles over the fields, as if putting on a show. I loved the adventure, 7 year old Lauren would be proud. The same little Lauren who looked across the hills in my small town growing up thinking “if I just kept walking I’d walk all over those hills and go on a real adventure”. I feel so at home on the road.
